Facial Cleaning at its Happiest with Etude House Happy Tea Time!

Now it's time to talk about Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam. This product is actually one of the most inexpensive and practical items to purchase from Etude House, as it costs only P148 for a 120ml tube! If you're using it alone, 2x a day, still it will last you months as you need only a pea size to produce a rich bubbly lather for facial cleansing.

But aside from the price factor, what's good about this product is that it is effective and very pleasant to use. It has a nice soothing tea scent, depending on the variant. I've been using this since last year (I'm a Peach Tea loyalist haha) and not only does it make my face smooth and clean but it also makes my senses invigorated.

And because I love this product so much, last Christmas, I decided to let family and friends experience the joy of using it. I gave out several Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam as gifts. I was lucky to get all variants despite the fact that many customers were hoarding too. For a while I was tempted to keep everything for myself but the goodness in me prevailed so I just took a photo of all the variants lined up together instead haha.

This masterpiece of nails was created by Thiamere Brea, a Filipina who's into nail art and mind you, it's just a hobby of hers. But judging from this creation, she's definitely a pro!:D

Well, now that I'm staring at Snowman Nails, I can't help but wish I had this design on my nails too so even if Christmas air in the Philippines is not that chilly anymore  (thanks to global warming...but that's another story, and not even cute), I could still  imagine and feel that it is by merely looking at my own Snowman Nails. :D

This definitely deserves a spot in my Cuteness Galore blog. To find out how to do Snowman Nails, come let's take a peek at Thiamere's blog for the step by step instruction...click here. Enjoy!

IMPORTED ENTRY FROM MY OTHER BLOG --- Missing U Hand Cream (Etude House)

Variants: Fairy Penguin, Pink Dolphin, Harp Seal, Panda (photo from Etude House FB fan page)

I first saw the promotional photos &video of Missing U Hand Creams (check out Etude House Philippines Official FB fan page ) before the actual product but aaaaah...I was nevertheless smitten.

I already saw these cuties "in person" when I passed by Etude House Megamall and boy, they are even cuter in 3D. For some reason I was not able to buy but I'm going to get one soon for sure :D It's affordable, just P278 :D

Just a quick note, there's more to cuteness behind MISSING U products...As I've learned from the video, the animals characterized by the packaging of Missing U Hand Creams  ---  FAIRY PENGUIN, PINK DOLPHIN, HARP SEAL, PANDA ---are already endangered...sadly :(

Etude House responds to the call of saving them by putting a portion of sales from Missing U Hand Cream to a some sort of animal foundation. Wow, such a noble endeavor.I do wish they, or we, would succeed in saving them so that our children and grandchildren and great great grandchildren would still come to know these animal friends.

For more info on MISSING U advocate, and for more of cuteness sighting, check out this video.

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream :D

I've been a fan of Etude House  for some time but it took me quite a while to actually try using one of the products the brand is best known for - BB Cream.

BB stands for Blemish Balm and to quote Mr. Wikipedia :D....

BB cream, also known as Blemish Balm or Blemish Base was initially used by dermatologists to help laser surgery patients protect, soothe and refine highly sensitive skin while providing light coverage for post-laser scars, acne and other blemishes. Additionally, BB cream encourages skin regeneration and helps to maintain youthful skin.

Originally formulated in Germany, BB cream has in recent years gained a huge following for its skin-regenerating properties and is now also widely used in Asia to provide natural-looking skin coverage. Korean celebrities and cosmetic companies were the first to discover BB cream and the craze for this wonder cream, which beautifies while healing, has now spread from Korea to Japan to South East Asia and is already quickly making its way to Europe and the USA..

As to why there was hesitation in me to use the product, well upon initial look on BB Cream, honestly I thought it looked like liquid foundation.:) And I'm such person who hates foundation, really. I find it sticky and makes my skin itchy. On rare moments when  my face gets covered with foundation,  I feel that my skin cannot  "breathe" properly.

However, since I've been reading a lot of raves about BB Creams, I finally decided to give it a try. I got the Precious Mineral BB Cream from Etude House since the label says that it promotes silky complexion with  pearl infused sheer coverage and  it contains adenosine and arbutin for anti-wrinkle and whitening. Plus, it has SPF for UV protection. Well, judging from the label, this particular type of BB Cream seems  to  offer more efficacy than the other BB Creams sold in the market.

I chose the Sheer Glowing Skin variant over the Sheer Silky Skin variant simply because I prefer the dewy look over the  matte one.

Ok, so I've been using this product for a month now , as in everyday, and contrary to my initial assumption, it  has lighter consistency than foundation and it does not feel sticky nor itchy ...at all. Of course, it ISN'T foundation to begin with, but more of a tinted moisturizer. And so far, I have not experienced any break out yet.

Here's how Precious Mineral BB Cream works on my skin. This is particularly the skin  at the back of my hand... I don't have anyone at the moment who can take photos of me so I couldn't possibly use my face for this illustration.:D

skin on my hand prior to coverage and some BB Cream (for the surface area i'm using for this illustration, i think i've put a lil bit too much :D)
blending blending
there, see the glow?:) in real life, upon closer inspection, i could literally see my skin glittering
after further absorption

If I were then to rate Etude House's Precious Mineral BB Cream from 1- 10, 10 being the highest, I would give it a perfect score!  I just love how it gives sheer  coverage  and at the same time nourishes my skin with the active ingredients that it contains. I've mentioned that it took me a while to actually try using BB Cream but then again, it's better late than never. :D

Just a short anecdote to end this post, there was one time when the amount of BB Cream that was pumped out was too much for my use and so as not to waste it, I had no choice but to put it on my boyfriend's face who, luckily, was with me during that moment. Yes the man in him struggled but I insisted and told him I wouldn't want such great product to be put to waste. Anyway, the cream gives sheer coverage so I told him that it wouldn't make such drastic change on his complexion. He relented and to cut the story, the next day he asked for some BB Cream to be applied again on his face...boy, he loved it!haha...now that's another story...:D

For that oh so splendid SKIN...

Seems that nowadays, everyone just wants to have fairer skin. Well that explains the popularity of skin whitening products especially in countries such as the Philippines. But you know what? The truth is, these whitening products do not actually WHITEN skin, but merely BRING BACK the natural skin color you were born with, sans the extreme sunlight exposure, pollution and other factors that damage the skin and darken its color. In short, if you are to use so-called whitening products, do not expect to be really white, but instead expect your epidermis to be transformed to its almost perfect state when you were a baby :)

Now what's more important is that your skin is smooth and blemish-free and I think that would really make the difference. For that, I have TRIED AND TESTED LIKAS PAPAYA HERBAL SOAP. It is the first Filipino organic herbal soap, enriched with Papaya enzyme and blended with tropical herbs for clearer and fairer complexion.

I have been using the product for some time now and beyond the "fairer skin concept" , what I really love about this product is that every time I use it all over my body, I actually feel the "clean sensation", unwanted excess oil is removed and my skin is blemish free, no pimples whatsoever in my face. I feel like I am glowing.

I have tried other soaps offered in the market (even other papaya soap brands) out of curiosity, but I therefore conclude that for me, nothing beats the skin confidence that is elicited with the use of Likas Papaya Soap.
